Every avid book lover knows the frustration of running out of bookshelf space. I am no different. Also, since I love me some paperbacks using a kindle to solve this problem just isn't the answer for me. So here's how I gave myself more space.

I'm back! And with a new look to my blog, I hope you like it 🙂 I did miss being on this blog and on my little pieces of the internet, but I am so glad I took this hiatus. It truly cleared my head, helped me resettle and gave me some insights into destructive behaviour patterns I'd started to form.
For those who missed it, I recently wrote a post about how I need a break to focus on my health and wellbeing. So I'm taking a month-long hiatus throughout May. There will still be some posts appearing on my blog, these will be my guest posts on Wednesdays. All these posts are scheduled so I really am taking a break. All comments after today will be responded to in June when I'm back.
If you've been visiting this blog over the last few weeks, you'll see I've been wrestling with some issues. Things in my life have been getting overwhelming and I had been focusing too much on what I consider "busy work" as a way to cope. Normally in this situation, I do a reset and things get back on track. However, not this time. Because technically, this time was different in many ways.
Okay, so last Friday I talked about doing a reset. That's where you clear your metaphorical chessboard and start again. I've heard from several writer friends both in the comments and in emails, how they are starting to feel overwhelmed, bogged down and generally not in a great place. So, it definitely seems like I'm not the only one feeling it. If the reset is where you have a toddler-sized temper tantrum and fling all the chess pieces off the board, then the Life Audit is where you put them all back on again. Neatly. Organised. So you have control again.
How often do you feel there just aren't enough hours in the day? We cram our days full of chores, work, errands, family, and projects not to mention sleeping, eating, etc and if we're lucky we manage to find some time to chill or do fun activities. Well, recently I've felt like all I do is work. Housework, business work, paperwork, blog work, marketing work... and it's been getting me down.
I've been feeling pretty overwhelmed with all the changes that have been happening. For those of you who've followed this blog for a while, you know I have severe anxiety and one of the triggers is 'change'.
Since today's question on my Twitter Game #TheMerryWriter asked "Do you keep a diary or journal?" I thought I'd discuss that on my blog. The current "Game Board" is pinned to the top of my feed if you'd like to check it out.
The bucket list is a simple concept. What do you want to have done in your life before you "kick the bucket?" I've talked about Bucket Lists before, but today I thought I'd do something special and share mine (well some of it).
I am taking a mini-break from Monday Marketing just for this week (don't worry, it will be back next week) as it is a year and a day since I moved to Northern Ireland. So this post is about looking back on that year.
