  1. This was an informative podcast. I enjoy doing book tours and have done many of the things suggested. As you mentioned, even if you don’t sell many books, your name is out there. I did one at a local independent book store in Canada and sold about 7 books. But one of them was to a teacher, who read the book, loved it and ordered 25 copies for her class. And invited me to do a class presentation. I give away book marks. That way if they don’t buy a book that day, they may later on. I even help customers pick out other books on the shelves as mine may not be what they are looking for. The staff love that!

    1. (Sorry for the delay in replying… I am now playing catch up!) I love how a single teacher’s order of your book at a book tour turned into a 25 book order and those kids will definitely have discussed your book with others and it could have built even more orders.

      It’s nice to think that even a single sale can have an effect further down the line
