I had planned to keep September’s goals nice and simple, maybe sticking with just 5. Well, that lasted all of 30 seconds into writing this blog post.
So, despite September usually being the start of my business rush as people start buying for the holidays (and the fact that August, usually a quiet month, was actually crazy busy) I have added more goals than I planned to. Oh well, I do like a challenge 😀
Last Month’s Goals
Let’s look at how I got on with last month’s goals.
01 – Complete at least 2 blog posts – DONE
02 – Set up my Craft Room – DONE (finally got all the furniture in place and shelves up!)
03 – Prep two months of TMW Games – PARTIALLY DONE (I managed to sort September’s game and some of Oct)
04 – Send out Newsletter(s) – DONE
05 – Read one book – DONE (actually read 2!)
06 – Organise Greeting Cards (OOT) – PARTIALLY DONE (I started it, even made up packs for family members, but haven’t fully gone through the remaining ones)
07 – Clear Notes off old phone (OOT) – DONE (finally managed to get this phone emptied of everything!)
08 – Plan some Ko-fi Only Content – NOT DONE (damnit!)
09 – Attempt to close my sister’s social media accounts – PARTIALLY DONE (this is going to take ages!! I started it but it became an emotional struggle so I am bouncing this to a few months from now.)
This Month’s Goals
01 – Complete 2 months of TMW Games
I want to get ahead… more so than I already am. So I just need to schedule out some time to actually do this!
02 – Finish painting the Kitchen
Our horrible kitchen (horrid due to removing a wall, and all the rewiring that carved up the walls and even the floor) needed brightening up until we can eventually get a new kitchen put in. So we have been painting the walls. Just need to get it finished.
03 – Get 2nd Vaccine
All booked in, just need to get it done 🙂
04 – Send out newsletters(s)
Yup this one is just staying on indefinitely.
05 – Read one book
My partner spurged on more books… as if we don’t have enough already! lol He bought me several new ones and I am hoping to get at least one read this month.
06 – Organise Greeting Cards (OOT)
This was last month’s OOT…which I failed to accomplish, so it’s been bounced to this month. I really want to get this done, I know it won’t take long, I just need to get myself to DO it!
07 – Go through our Cable Box (OOT)
Okay, so this is THIS month’s OOT. If you’re anything like me, along with a junk drawer, you’ll have a cable box. Usually a random box (or drawer) full of random cables and other tech pieces like spare computer mice, headphones etc. Well, our cable box has been growing and I need to clear through it, check I actually NEED all those cables, bind them, label them and rebox (hopefully into a smaller box).
08 – Plan some Ko-fi only content
I want to start using my Ko-Fi page more frequently, but like with most things, I need to PLAN. Since I failed miserably to even consider this goal when it was on last month’s list, I am re-adding it here!
What is one thing you want to accomplish this month?

Happy writing & stay safe
Great job with August’s goals, and good luck with the ones for September.
I want to get the last of the craft stuff organized. That’s my big goal for September. Once I’ve done that it will just be a case of needing to get all the books and DVDs properly in order on their shelves. I’m also hoping to catch up a bit on my reading, since I’m still quite behind on my reading goal.
Sounds like a good goal. Reading is a big one for me, I can’t seem to get myself to read – I haven’t even checked on where I’m at with my Goodreads Reading Challenge!
Good luck with all your organising!!
Thanks.
Looks like you’ve done well last month and this month’s goals seem attainable. Best of luck!
I just hope not to burn out and to figure out some work stuff. The rest will fall into place.
Thanks Sam. I hope you manage to avoid burn out and that the work stuff gets sorted. Good luck!
Your goals seem doable, and I’m sure you can meet them. I just cleaned out our cable drawer in our dresser (It was full up!). I threw out a lot of stuff and donated what I felt safe in doing so. Now, it is organized and not overflowing.
This month, I plan to concentrate on getting well (have had health issues this past summer) and begin to plan for future commitments and obligations.
Thanks Rae. Seriously, how do we end up with so many cables? And never the ones we really need when we’re searching! I have just gone through mine, even got out the label maker and labelled a number of them up. I have a bag of old, broken ones for recycling.
I wish you a speedy recovery!!
Thanks for your kind words!
Best of luck!
Thank you Andrew
You’re welcome.
