    1. Thanks so much for listening to the podcast. I felt the same way! Darlene and I have chatted for a number of years through our blogs, so it was great getting her on the podcast and having a fun chat!

    1. Thanks for listening Thomas. Astrid Lindgren was a prolific writer. I loved her Pippi Longstocking books that I read to my daughter. She loved them because they showed that it was OK to be different.

  1. Congratulations to Darlene and The Merry Writer team for this lovely podcast. I also believe writing for children is very important. My motivation for writing children’s books is also to encourage reading.

    1. Thank you so much for listening to the episode, Robbie. I am glad you enjoyed it. Was so much fun meeting Darlene as we have been chatting through our blogs for years! 🙂

    1. It was truly our pleasure, was so nice to meet you after conversing with you for so long via our blogs. I do hope we can get you back on again sometimes if you are willing?

      1. lol It took a LOT of trial and error to get that organised and a crazy Trello Board that is bristling with all our notes and episode plans.

I do feel sorry for our earliest guests so were thrown in head first.

We do always try and make our guests feel at ease, we’ve had a number of guests who are so nervous as it’s their first time podcasting so we try and consider what we would need/want to know to make it easier for everyone.

        Great to hear, thanks!
