Are you the sort of person who waits until December to do their festive shopping? Do you have some book lovers amongst your friends and family and aren’t sure what to get them? Obviously “a book” is always a winner, but how about something extra or something a little different. Then look no further, here are some great bookish gift ideas for those loved ones (or…just to treat yourself!)

While I was doing my own shopping, I came across these treasures and have included the buy links to them (none of these are affiliate links, I just want to support small shops on Etsy).
Please note, these are all UK shops, some may ship internationally, or they may just give you ideas and you can do a search for something similar on Etsy from sellers in your country.
Keyrings
How about a bookish keyring stocking filler? Even introverted people sometimes leave the house and that means taking keys with them.
These Book Trope ones caught my eye, especially that Enemies to Lovers keyring.

Bookmarks
If your book loving friend is anything like me they could a) be reading multiple books at once or b) lose their bookmarks.
This one is a reading list for the year. But there’s space for the title, start and end date and star rating toa record of what’s read!

I had to add another bookmark, this one is adorable. The bookmark has a “reading shelf” with plain blank book spines for you to write in the books you’ve read.
It’s got a background wash tone so can be used as is, or break out the coloured pencils and decorate it!

Candles
There is nothing nicer than lighting a candle, making a cuppa, grabbing a book and sitting in for a day-long reading session!
Check out this soy coconut Library Candle. I have no idea what it smells of (coconut maybe?).

Bookish Earrings
Despite not wearing pierced earrings, I LOVE these. They are so freaking cute!Β Grab a pair of these mini books complete with pretty covers and pages.
If I wore earrings, these would definitely be in my jewellery box!

Mugs
It wouldn’t be a gift list without a mug. Everyone loves mugs and it really doesn’t seem to matter how many you have, you can always find space for more.
I’m sure there are a lot of readers out there who would find this mug most fitting!

Book Stamps
For those who’re serious about their book collection, you could get them their very own stamp. These lovely wooden stamps have “from the library of (your name)” in a circle around a pretty picture of an open book filled with flowers.
Personalised gifts can be a nice touch.

TBR Prompts
This was an odd surprise, I’ve heard of writing prompts, but reading prompts?
Perfect for the indecisive loved ones who stand forever at their book shelves trying to pick their next read. Take the hassle away with a set of TBR Prompts for choosing their next book

T-shirts are another crowd favourite.Β Whether it’s got bookish quotes, logos from our favourite novel series or phrases like this.
There are plenty of t-shirts with book lover quotes or phrases to choose from. So see what fits for the reader in your life.

Let’s be honest, how many of these things would you just buy for yourself rather for a friend or loved one?Β I know most of my bookish gifts had to be pried from my fingers and wrapped quickly before it was added to a “maybe I’ll just keep this one” pile. lol
PS: Thank you to everyone for their kind words following last week’s post. I will be replying to comments shortly.
