I didn’t do an update at the end of April, this is because I tanked doing anything in April. But May has been a lot more productive. 

In case you’re new here, the last Friday of (almost) every month is a “Write Life” update where I discuss what I’ve been working on.

The Blessed Trilogy

May has been very different to most of the months, I got a serious writing bug and have been working on my manuscript almost every day. Not only did I rearrange several scenes and make a note of new scenes I have to write, but I’ve also been tidying up the earlier chapters ready for my alpha reader.

I also… tabbed up and outlined book 2!  Yes, I managed to outline book 2 and it became so much more detailed than it originally was.  Book 3’s outline is next on my plate.

Due to things happening in June, I won’t have as much time to work on my writing, so I’m just going to do the bare minimum.

• Tidy more scenes

The Trinity Hart Series

Due to how busy I’ve been with The Blessed, I have not even looked at Dark Hart. It’s been quietly bubbling away on the back burner and I hope to give more attention to it after June.

What I will be working on through June:

• Nothing, this is staying in limbo until after June

A Coming Storm

For most of the month, I barely glanced at A Coming Storm, however, I have been working on getting my routine back. So made a point of giving myself a single writing task every day.

In order to give me some breathing room from The Blessed (sometimes things need to simmer for a little) I made sure to add “complete outline for Storm” to one of my daily writing tasks. And by noodles, did I manage it!

What I will be working on through June:

• Nothing, this is staying in limbo until after June

I also sorted a new writing process that I am eager to start – this will be a yearly working process that should keep me accountable.
