As we drift into April, I look back on March to see what I managed to accomplish. It was rough month for me and I am glad it was one of the months I take a few days off in. Those quarterly breaks make the difference between me burning out and being able to function like a normal human being.
I tried not to give myself too much for March and am happy with what was accomplished. I’m going to attempt a few more goals this month as next month might see me offline for a week or two due to some house work we need doing. So I want to get more done this month.
Last Month’s Goals
Let’s look at how I got on with last month’s goals.
01 – Sort novel notes EVERY DAY – PARTIALLY DONE (I have a few days where I just didn’t manage it, but overall, I managed 25 days out of 31 and those bad days, were all at the start of the month)
02 – Do some Beta Reading – PARTIALLY DONE (I actually did manage to start the beta read and have set up a schedule to keep me on track).
03 – Read one book – DONE
04 – Contact Woodworm people – DONE (came out and did the survey, just need to sort the date for them to do their thing!)
05 – Plan more products – DONE (not only did I plan more products, I managed to get them prepped, photo’d and scheduled)
06 – Send out Newsletter(s) – DONE
07 – Create Library resource – DONE (added this in the middle of the month. I have moved from doing a resource every month to every other month and March was the next month for a resource) As always if you want to get access to my Resource Library you just need to join my Newsletter!
This Month’s Goals
01 – Fix the Arc issue for The Blessed and answer questions
After all the note arranging I did last month, I slotted this detail into my Outline until it was over 27K words. However, these included some questions I need to address and highlighted an plot arc issue.
02 – Do some Beta Reading
I am still beta reading for a fellow author, so again I’m adding it here.
03 – Read 1 book (for review)
I have a few books I am reading to review, so I need to focus on these.
04 – Book in workmen for the plaster and joinery issues
It’s nice having a home, but damn if there isn’t always something that needs fixing!
05 – Plan social media calendar for the business
I’m juggling a busy working schedule at the moment but I would like to start getting back into using social media for the business. But to do that I need a structured plan.
06 – Send out newsletters(s)
Yup this one is just staying on indefinitely.
07 – Write 2 blog posts
I would like to get back to blogging more, so I want to write and schedule some blog posts for April.
Ahh, woodworm is a nightmare. I think you’re doing a marvellous job. 💙💙
Aww thanks Lorraine. OMG yes it is! We finally had the woodworm survey done and the FAFF of having to empty the entire 1st floor (to where, I have no idea) and then pull up the floors…I just can’t even! But when it’s done it will be a huge weight of our minds.
Hope things are going well with you, I’d love to catch up with your properly sometime.
Yes, we’ll definitely have a catch up soon. X
🙂
I need to make more progress on the sequel to Mystical Greenwood, and I hope active following of #IndieApril on Twitter will help lead to some sales.
Oooh I hadn’t heard of #IndieApril, I’ll have to check that out. I look forward to seeing the sequel to Mystic Greenwood so I hope the progress goes well.
Thank you.
