November Goals 2020 | Monthly Goals

Yes, I am finally back from my sabbatical…kind of.  I’ll only be uploading Friday posts twice a month.  So, how was my sabbatical, you may ask.  Well, I will be discussing it in my next blog post as there is a lot to unpack.  But I thought I’d start my return with a Goals Post.

Monthly Goals: November 2020

This Month’s Goals

01 – Consolidate all The Blessed notes

My notes for this story are EVERYWHERE, in random notebooks, on my phone notepad, in voice recordings, on post-its.  So I am consolidating them all into one specific notepad.

02 – Pack up the house

We are having work done on our house (in winter, I know, the worst time! but it can’t be helped).  Due to the type of work being done, we technically have to “move out” almost all our stuff.  So, yeah… that’s what I’ll be doing this month.

03 – Write 4 blog posts

Since I will only be uploading two Friday posts a month, I want to get a few written and scheduled ready for when all that work starts and I am suddenly without a computer.

04 – Read 1 Book

I’ve found it hard to read recently, so I’m sticking to just one book a month.

05 – Complete January’s TMW questions

I like to be VERY ahead, so I am already working on January’s The Merry Writer game questions for Twitter.  Don’t yet play?  Simply follow me on Twitter to join our little band of Merry Writers, as I post a daily question.

06 – Send out Newsletter(s)

I now have 2 newsletters, one for my writing and one for my business.  So I don’t forget anything, I’m adding this to my monthly goals.

07 – Create a new Library resource

These are stored in The Library, where only my newsletter subscribers have exclusive access.  Want access?  Simply join my newsletter using the link and you’ll receive a few intro emails including the one with the access code to the library.

08 – Revamp my website

Yes, I did this recently but my current theme has started acting very “buggy” so I am doing another overhaul.  I have been working on what I want and the overall look for a few weeks now, I hope to get this little slice of web all spruced up.

  1. (Kitty) Cat Strawberry - Meow!

Hi, welcome back. I hope everything’s alright? I sent you a text message the day after you sent me one but I don’t know if it ever got through as I never heard back from you 😦 But anyway, I hope you’ll be able to stay somewhere nice while having your house done. Take it easy on yourself and just do the things you feel able to, not letting stress get to you. It’s been such a stressful time for everyone, especially with specific circumstances that you’re going through. Take care and I hope we’ll speak soon. ❤ 🙂

    1. Hi Cat, I got your text, sorry I’ve been rubbish with replying. I’m finding it hard to reply to messages, texts, voicemails, emails… I had to schedule replying to this blog’s comments otherwise I’d get so behind with them. I’m hoping next year is better as this year’s stress is freaking high. Hope you’re okay hun

I hope you’re alright and take it easy, just look after yourself and don’t get too overworked about everything. It’s a tough time, especially with Christmas looming. I hope you feel better and more on your feet soon. ❤ 🙂

      2. Hi Cat, thanks for this and sorry for the delay, I stepped away from dealing with digital life throughout December and now I’m wading through the backlog! lol Hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year my friend xx

      3. (Kitty) Cat Strawberry - Meow!

I can understand, especially the last year things have been so difficult. I hope you’re doing okay though and managing to get through everything. Christmas and new year were good for me and family, despite some setbacks for some of my family and some sad news, but we’re okay right now. 🙂 I hope you and your family are okay and had a lovely holiday? ❤ Are you going to be taking part in that yearly writing challenge this year? I think it's starts in January if I'm not mistaken?

      4. Hi Cat, seriously I have no idea how I have got so behind on comments (again). Spending so much time fixing up this damn house is stealing all my time.

I hope you are doing okay now and that you are having a better year than the last. Sadly the 85K Writing Challenge that did used to begin in January ended last year. The lady who ran it wasn’t able to keep it going and while I would have loved to just do it myself, the start of this year was like being hit by a train. Hence why it’s April and I still feel like it’s February!!

      5. (Kitty) Cat Strawberry - Meow!

I completely get the whole feeling like it’s February, I’m stunned it’s April too, lol! How are things in Northern Ireland, I have no idea how things are going there but we’re only now coming out of the lockdown with the vaccines being given to most people, although a friend and also family member of mine have had some bad reactions to taking them 😦

That’s a shame about the 85K challenge, although it’s only worth doing if you have the time, and there’s no point in stressing about it if you don’t.

Things are gettign better here, though slowly. Had a few setbacks healthwise and this year has actually been a bit tough when someone in my family died, my grandma. We couldn’t go to the funeral as it’s abroad and that’s probably what stung the most and has made 2021 feel like a pretty horrid year to start, but hopefully with things opening up here in England we can finally maybe go abroad and at least see other family and deal with her belongings.

Anyway sorry to dump, but I miss chatting and I really hope you are well. If there’s a preferred way you want to chat then let me know, like preferred email, twitter, text, or if you don’t feel much like chatting to me these days that’s fine too. Miss our chats but I think you have other people like your podcast buddy to chat with! 😀 I do listen to your podcast, by the way but I’m not logged into youtube when I do, I don’t actually have a proper account on there yet, should get one, lol 🙂 Anyway hugs and hope your house problems get fixed soon. Take care 🙂 ❤

      6. Hi Cat, it truly is crazy how fast this year is going. Sadly things are not good in Northern Ireland, there is a lot of riots and violence happening in loyalist areas over Brexit issues among other things. Petrol bombs are being thrown at the police and buses etc.

So far is is mostly having in Belfast and surrounding areas so it’s not hit down here yet. I hope it calms down soon.

As for the lockdown, it is not easing at the same speed as England so we are mostly were we were before.

I am so sorry that you lost your Grandmother, that must have been heart breaking not being able to go to the funeral. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I miss our chats too. Email is a good way for chatting as I check it every day, unlike almost every other platform! Lol Texting is okay too but I think I find it easier to type out an email than a text message.

Aww I really appreciate that you listen to the podcast! Means a lot. I hope you enjoy it 🙂

When my internet stops being rubbish (constantly disconnects at the moment even though there’s nothing wrong with the wi-fi, then I have to restart my laptop) It’s happening several times a day now and makes doing ANYTHING online a bloody nightmare… but I’ll send you a proper email this week! (I’ve added it to my diary so I don’t forget!) 🙂

      7. (Kitty) Cat Strawberry - Meow!

Aw, sorry your having such a tough time with the internet connections and all that rioting and that, I hope you won’t have to come across any of that yourself.

I find email easier too though I’m always happy to send text too or messages over instagram or twitter, though I’ve not been on instagram for a long time due to app issues.

Will look forward to your email. 🙂 Take care and thank you for the well wishes, really appreciate it. ❤ ❤

      8. Hi Cat…. did I send you that email I said? I am really sure I did but now I’m thinking about it, I can’t be 100% sure. Hope you are doing well currently and things are getting back to some kind of normal. xx

      9. (Kitty) Cat Strawberry - Meow!

Hi, yes you did send it and I’m so sorry I haven’t replied yet. I’ve been struggling the past few weeks with my health and it got so bad that I’ve not been online much at all, especialy the last week I only went online once and even stopped blogging for a bit. I promise I’ll reply soon, just might need a few more days to get myself together properly ❤ ❤ 🙂 In the meantime though I hope things are getting better over in Northern Ireland 🙂 We've been unlocking slowly overhere, and the days are getting warmer and sunnier so that's great 🙂

      10. No no! No apology needed, you take as long as you need! I’m forever taking ages to reply. I just wanted to check as I have a habit lately of starting tasks then forgetting to finish them.

Take good care of yourself, that’s the most important. I think it’s good to take time away from the internet especially if your not well. definitely more beneficial.

      11. (Kitty) Cat Strawberry - Meow!

Thank you ❤ ❤ ❤ Look after yourself too, I hope things get easier and more manageable for you too, it seems that a lot of people seem to have trouble with having not enough hours in the day to finish everything, it's certainly how I feel at the moment, lol. Take care and I'll write to you soon ❤ 🙂

      12. You are so right, we never have enough hours in the day. I am hoping, after all this damn house rennovations are done, that I can let go of this constant rushing “no-time” feeling.

I feel like sometimes we have to sacrifice some projects and tasks and just “be” in the moment. I want more outside time, more quiet time, more slow living. It’s sad we got to a point were being busy and productive is the ultimate goal. I don’t think I want that now
