  1. Grammar gets me too sometimes, but of course, it’s always evolving. And one nice thing is that you don’t always have to comply by every rule.

The QWERTY keyboard, so I’ve heard, was designed around which letters are most frequently typed, and, like the two-space rule, originates from the typewriter era.

I myself was part of the one-space rule, and I’ve never typed on a typewriter, but I will say that maybe one thing we can take away from that time is that it’s better to type slower sometimes (some typewriter documentaries I’ve watched featured authors who prefer them because they can process their thoughts slower and better).

    1. Thanks for your insight, Andrew. Yes, in fact typing slower can really help. I used to work at a company that sold projectors… I typed that word so often in invoices, quotes, emails that if I ever needed to type the word project, I always ended up automatically typing “projector”

It was so ingrained and with the speed that I type, it was out before I even comprehended what I’d done. Took a while to retrain my brain NOT to do that! lol
