This was a great episode. I have been reading since I was a toddler and would be so upset if I couldn’t read at least a few pages a day. I do think reading a variety of books makes you a better writer. I can honestly say at least 80% of what I read is for pleasure. Having said that I realize not everyone is an avid reader but hopefully, everyone finds something to read that they enjoy. Rereading stories from your childhood is good for your soul. I just listened to Anne of Green Gables and loved it all over again. Good advice.
Glad you liked the podcast episode (apologies for the delay in replying, I’m just now working through the many comments on this blog).
I totally agree, the more variety we read the better writers we become.
So many people talk about Anne of Green Gables and I’ve never read it! I must get myself a copy 🙂
You would love it!!
We definitely need more reading for pleasure. This was a great episode. I could relate to a lot of it.
Aww thank you, Andrew. Always glad to hear when people can relate to our topics. I did umm and ahh about using this topic but it means a lot to me.
You’re welcome.
