    1. Thanks for your comment, Kate. I can appreciate that, my Alpha reader is my partner. He loves the genre and has an excellent grasp of grammar etc (better than me) so can give me great pointers about areas that are weak or where the plot stumbles.

      But I wouldnt let most of my family read it, because they don’t care for the genre or reading fiction in general.

      Betas are a god-send!!

    1. Yes! Exactly, unless they have that experience they could bring to your writing, I don’t see the point of family or friends reading your work – especially if they aren’t interested in that genre.
