Welcome to the Blogger Series (new posts in this series will be uploaded every Thursday). So, you've decided on your blog's purpose, you've selected the blogging platform and you've picked out a blog name.  Now it's time to set up your blog. Since I use WordPress.com and it's what I recommend for those new to blogging, this post will be specific mostly to the WordPress.com platform.  However, some if not most of the information here, can be relevant to almost any blogging platform.
