This is the penultimate podcast episode of 2023. So we decided to do something a bit different. In today's episode, Rachel and I discuss some of the differences we have observed between American English and British English. As I have been scrambling to complete 2 months worth of stuff, into 3 weeks, I didn't get chance to write a blog post. However, I did see a video by author Bethany Atazadeh that talked about boundaries for Authors and I thought it was well worth a share!
We are back with another podcast episode. Today, we are taking a step away from writing advice as we ask and answer the question: “Have You Ever Come Across Your Story Idea At The Bookstore?”
Are you the sort of person who waits until December to do their festive shopping? Do you have some book lovers amongst your friends and family and aren't sure what to get them? Obviously "a book" is always a winner, but how about something extra or something a little different. Then look no further, here are some great bookish gift ideas for those loved ones (or...just to treat yourself!)
It's podcasting day again and today, Rachel and I were joined once more by author Wilmar Luna for this episode as we and he answers the question: “How Can You Build a Horror Universe?”
So, November has been... awful! There is no other way of saying it. We started the month out with extreme flooding in our town that devastated us. The main shops in town were gutted with flood waters well past waist-height. It most likely will be months before they (hopefully) can recover. Then we ended up with mice in our house. So had to spend ages trying to catch them (humanely) and find where they were getting in, block it up and disinfect all the areas they had been. So, that was how the month ended. Finally, our beloved elderly cat Walter started to deteriorate and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him cross the rainbow bridge.
Today, we are all about Endings! So grab a cuppa and tune in to the episode as Rachel and I ask and answer the question: “What Are The Different Types of Novel Endings?”
We are back again with another podcast episode. Today, we are all about the dumping! Info dumping that is. Listen to the episode below as we ask and answer the question: “How Can You Avoid Info Dumping?”
