If you are subscribed to my newsletter you will have around been made aware of this. But for those who aren’t, I thought I’d keep you updated.
Regular Post Days
In order to claim back more of my time, I will be posting my articles on Friday’s only. So other than this announcement, there will be no more Monday blog posts.
This may eventually change back, but for the foreseeable future, only Friday’s will be my regular post day.
Guest Posts
Additionally, I am closing the Guest Post Opportunities. I have enjoyed opening my blog to other writers over the last few years, giving them a platform to share their advice, interviews and offer them some exposure.
However, I really need to cut down my time spent on this blog as it has started to eat up way too much. Chasing, prepping, scheduling guest posts takes time and so I want to focus that time to other things.
I thank everyone who has been a guest post and I will continue to put up guest posts until I reach the end of my current scheduled list, which I believe is at the end of January next year.
This may not be a permanent decision, so I’m leaving up my Interested in Guest Posting page just so it’s there in the future.
A Writer’s Guide
I’ve been asked if I’ll be bringing back this segment. I have a few articles ready and I will be slotting them into either Wednesday posts or Friday posts.
But again, this became a bigger effort as I ended up having to constantly chase people who’d agreed to participate.
When I’m in a better place, time-wise, and if I can actually go back to how it was where I get a good collection of articles received, I’ll set up this segment again.
New Project
Finally, I’ve been toying with the idea of starting a new project in which case, this extra time will be spread between my writing, my business and this project.
If I make the decision to pursue it, I’ll let you know in one of my newsletters.

I’m glad you’re “stickin’ to your guns” and giving yourself more free time Ari, just as you promised yourself you would.
Thanks Linda. Yes, I needed to be firm with myself and stop running about like a whirling dervish.
Exactly Ari – I need to pull away from the computer and blogging more than I do or I risk becoming like a hamster on a wheel (as Hugh from Hugh’s News and Views often states is a symptom of blogging overload) not to mention being behind in everything else.
So true 🙂
I find that blogging can be so much more time consuming than we’d hope! Good luck finding your perfect balance.
You are so right! With all the planning, writing, formatting, sorting graphics, scheduling social media etc never mind chasing guest posters and setting up brainstorming moments. I feel like it became the largest part of my work and I can’t have that – otherwise I’ll never actually finish a novel 😀
Sounds like a plan!
I do like a good plan! 😉
Do what you need to do to make your blog better. If somethings got to go take it out. This new project has me curious (I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants to know more), but I’m also wondering if the new project is something that will simply take the place of something you’re dropping, and you’ll find yourself as harried or tired as you are now.
Thanks Tom. I think cutting down my blog posts will help. Thankfully the new project (that must remain secret for now) should be a lot less stress and time, (once we’ve got through the initial set up stage). Things are very busy anyway since we are still sorting our new house and getting set up. By the end of the year, some of the biggest jobs will be done and so more time will be opened up there.

🙂 You might as well utilize a schedule that works well for you.
In my case, I only publish content once a week; I will make an exception if it is something important (For example, the past issue with Tygpress).
May you have a wonderful week, Ari!
Thanks Renard. I think once a week is a good frequency and I’m looking forward to doing that myself. I just need more time to actually do the novel writing I love so much. Have a great weekend 🙂
It’s a good idea to keep folks updated. 🙂
I hope this works well for you Ari 😀
Me too, thanks Simon. 🙂
My pleasure, keep going – you’re great ok? 🙂
lol aww thanks Simon, I appreciate that 🙂
You’re welcome… 🙂
Thanks Kevin. Oh definitely, I know people visit for my Monday posts, especially when they were Monday Marketing posts, which may return eventually 🙂
Good Luck with whatever you’re planning to do, Ari 🤗
Thanks Chris, I’m hoping it opens up more time for me to actually pursue writing 😀
