A Hunt Bound In Blood
Release dates: 23rd October 2025 (direct) // 30th October (Kobo) // 6th November (KU)
She wants her library. He wants revenge. To win their hearts’ desires, they first have to survive each other.
As a forbidden half-vampire hiding behind her public mage persona, Glory has spent her life trying not to draw attention to herself. When the king orders her to enlist the help of a roguish treasure hunter to track down a life-saving amulet, Glory is terrified. Four weeks alone with a demon whose career is to sniff out secrets is asking for her destruction. She is determined not to fall for his charms. Or his smile. Or the enticing smell of his blood.
Cammon is no more thrilled about the company than Glory is. The mage is a buttoned-up stick-in-the-mud. But the king has promised to help him end his exile and resume his place as heir to his father’s throne, so he can’t say no. But he’ll keep his distance from Glory, even if her passion for the hunt rivals his and the taste of her emotions is exquisite.
To find the amulet, Glory and Cammon must work together to solve a series of death-defying puzzles across shifter-claimed forests, giant-filled valleys, and dragon-owned mountains. With every trial they face, pieces of their hearts are laid bare, secrets are revealed, and new desires are awakened.
Inspired by the kiss at the end of The Mummy and the waterfall jump in Romancing the Stone, A Hunt Bound in Blood is packed with adventure, banter, authentic characters, and spice.

My Review
I had read another book by this author, A Dream Shrouded in Fury, and I liked the characters and world. So, when this book popped up, stating it was inspired by scenes from the movies, The Mummy (awesome) and Romancing the Stone (also awesome), I knew I had to read it.
The story follows Glory, a half-vampire mage who can’t use magic, and Cammon, a treasure-hunting demon prince. They have to team up to locate a hidden amulet that might just save a life and stop an impending war.
This book is first-person and has both main characters’ POV, which I always prefer in these types of fantasy romance stories.
It has a great pace to it, showing the motivations and drive between the two characters as well as their very different, and often opposite, personalities.
We follow them as they travel through the land together, finding clues, dodging traps and dangers, as they learn about each other. *swoon*
It’s one of those stories that I would love to see as a movie. It pulled at my heartstrings, had me laughing and even a little tear-shedding. I even cancelled all my work and plans one day and just decided to take a “reading day” because I wasn’t willing to put the book down.
The world-building is not too much, but enough to give you a good feel how things are. There are some secondary characters, such as Sy, who I would love to see a book about because I liked his character too.
The banter was amusing, the characters were swoon-worthy and I tore through this book too soon. It left me feeling adrift, wishing there was a sequel!
This will definitely be going into my fave collection of books I can read again and again.
My rating:
Happy reading
