Big thanks to everyone who has already signed up for this year’s Advent Calendar Story Train. It was lovely seeing so many people get straight in there and fill in the form.
However, I am still 7 writers down. If you have not yet signed up, and are interested, please fill in the form linked below. If you know someone who might want to give flash fiction writing a go – send them to this post.

In A Nutshell
To be part of the train you will need to write a single, self-contained, flash fiction story. Once you sign up (form link below) you’ll be given a single word theme and a specific date in December when you have to upload your story.
A Few Quick Things
- You do not have to have written flash fiction before, first timers welcome!
- You must have a blog* for your story to be uploaded too.
- You must be able to commit to completing your flash fiction by end of October at the latest (earlier is always better).
- This is a first come first serve system. However, I will include a waitlist as last year some people were unable to continue due to extenuating circumstances.
- December dates will be issued to people later in the year.
*kofi page, Medium, Patreon, Wattpad etc are all acceptable. The only requirement is that you need a platform to upload your story to and it must be accessible for free to the public.
Requirements & Sign Up
Are You Interested?
Please visit this Google Form, read the requirements carefully, these are listed at the top of the Google Form.
If it all sounds good, just complete the form.
Please note the theme has already been chosen.
Current Participants
If you have already joined this project, you should have received an email directly from me confirming you are in and sharing with you the theme of this year’s Advent Calendar Story Train.
If you have already signed up and filled in the form, your name will appear below. If you filled in the form and your name is NOT below, something went wrong, so leave a comment for on this blog post.

If any current participants feel they may be able to write a second story – please let me know. This will just be a “back up” in case I don’t manage to fill all 24 slots.

Happy writing & stay safe
