It may be an odd topic, but I guarantee someone who listens to it won’t know that Authors can get insurance and why it may be useful. So that is the topic of today, as Rachel and I ask and answer:
“Do You Need Author Insurance?”
Episode 255
What We Cover:
- Why you might want author insurance
- How author insurance can protect you
- Risks to authors
- Commercial licenses
- Note on traditional published authors

Valuable information, thanks! Another issue is inheritance. Who gets your royalties in the event of your death? I know you are younger and may not think of that, but it can happen to anyone.
Ooh that is a good point regarding what happens to the royalties in the event of death. I may have to add that as something to discuss in a later podcast episode 🙂
That would be a good topic. Perhaps a chat with a lawyer of notary could clarify that.
Yes! I think having a lawyer give official information would be a great idea. I’ll have to see if I can find one who’ll give me info 🙂
