Since it feels hotter than then sun over here in England and I am not coping with it (since being English means we barely even SEE the sun) I haven’t been able to write a post. Rubbish of me I know.

This is interesting seeing as I’m just starting the process of rebuilding my brand and strengthening my online presence, all because it’s “the only way to get your books to sell today”.
I haven’t been all that involved on social media and I agree with a lot of what Dr. Cal is saying. I know I have had a dramatic increase in anxiety due to the pressure to be more active on social media and to be more engaged with people via social media . . . when at heart, I don’t really want to be more involved with it. I’ve had some bad experiences with forum boards and I know of people who have had really bad experiences with social media sites.
I’m going to send a link to that TED talk to my editor/book coach and see what she thinks about what he is saying. I don’t think blogs and newsletters are what is meant by “social media”, I think it is Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and the like. I wonder how she would feel about me focusing on taking better care of my poor neglected blog and doing more with my newsletter instead of investing scattered focus on everything?

Hope you’re okay <3. Managed to escape some of the heat in the south here, had thunder this morning for about half an hour now the sun's back! Hmmm social media. Don't like it but I don't spend everyday on it. Kind of visit a platform once a week for sure and I confess I've been checking in on Twitter a fb more often than I like. But I'm old fashioned and could give it up tomorrow 😮 :). Looking forward to your next post 🙂 :). Try not to melt 😉
