Human connection that comes from creativity is important to me. I do not accept, nor agree with, the use of generative AI in regards to creativity.

All my written work on this website and within my own books is created by me. I do not, have not and will not use generative AI.

All artwork connected with my books including book covers, character art, etc, will also not use generative AI.

I am very clear to contact all artists I am interested in working with to check their policies on AI, which I get in writing. I will not intentionally use any artist that creates their art using AI.

The same goes for voice actors should my work ever be turned into audiobooks.

I pride myself on supporting other creatives who push back against the rising tide of generative AI.

I DO NOT use generative AI to brainstorm, outline, plot, write or edit my written work, so would find it wrong to then turn around and use it for other aspects such as art or narration. In my opinion, creatives should support each other.

When choosing my editor, I checked that she also does not use a Large Language Model to edit. This was written into the contract.

Guest Posters

I inform all my new guest posters about my stance on AI and ask that any posts they write for me are human-written.

In our podcast guest form, we have a clear statement at the top informing any potential guests that we do not support AI and only wish to support and platform writers who write their own work.

Beta Readers & ARC Reviewers

I did not think I’d have to add this, however, there has apparently been some beta readers (not mine) and ARC reviewers (also not mine) caught putting other authors’ work through AI for it to

a) generate feedback and

b) write reviews

To be 100% clear, I do NOT give permission for any of my work to be put through a generative AI model. All betas and ARC reviewers will be asked to sign a contract regarding this.

My Services as a Beta & Arc Review

I am a beta reader for several authors and also an ARC review for many more.

This is my statement, to confirm that I will NEVER put your work through a generative AI model.

All feedback will be my own after I have read the book myself, and all reviews will be written 100% by me.
