June Goals 2022 | Monthly Goals

So, May was busy.  With family visiting towards the end of the month, it was quite the race to get the work finished on our house before they arrived.  Shockingly, it got done!  Our house is looking awesome, family came, lots of events and activities were undertaken and then we got a week of recovery from all the people-ing 😀  Overall, a busy and enjoyable month.

Last Month’s Goals

Let’s look at how I got on with last month’s goals *face-palm*… not sure why I’m bothering.

01 – Pump Up Outline For The Blessed book 2 – DONE (I actually managed to do this… to my satisfaction.  I still want to work on the outline more, but I did get more done than I expected).

02 – Write 2,000 Words of The Blessed book 1 – NOT DONE (This was too ambitious due to everything that was happening in May).

03 – Work on a Finance GoalDONE (Despite having less time to work on my business due to all the crazy that was happening in May, I did manage to work on a finance goal and actually hit it!).

04 – Send out Newsletters – DONE (Though it was just a quick newsletter as I wasn’t well).

05 – Pick a Theme for Collab Project – DONE (It may have been right down to the wire, but I chose my theme, just need to contact everyone with it).

06 – Sort Business Accounts – DONE (I have gotten back on top of all my accounts and have even continued to stay ahead with them.  Usually, after I get ahead, I instantly fall back behind.  But so far, so good).

This Month’s Goals

01 – Write 2,000 Words of The Blessed book 1

Let’s try this again.

02 – Add Blog Posts to Pinterest

I used to do this frequently, because Pinterest is a great source of traffic.  But it got waylaid, like so many other tasks.  I want to bring back creating pins and scheduling them throughout the month.

03 – Create 8 New Products

Now that most of the house renovations have ended, I want to put my energy back into the business.  This includes getting back into a routine of adding new products.  I like 2 a week is a good start.

04 – Send out Newsletters(s)

Yup this one is just staying on indefinitely.

05 – Clear out the Crockery (OOT)

I have 3 boxes of vintage crockery, I have no idea if it’s worth anything or not.  It was given to me years ago and it’s been cluttering up my house.  It’s not stuff I use and I want to see if it’s something I can sell.  So I need to pull it all out, inventory it and go from there.

06 – Sort Holiday Photos (OOT)

My family visited during May and we went to many places and I took soooo many photos.  I really need to go through them all, delete rubbish ones, organise them and then send them to my family.  If I don’t add it to this month’s goals I can see myself forgetting to do it entirely.

07 – Read 2 Books

I desperately need to stop sitting in front of Netflix, rewatching TV series’ so I am going to go back to reading.  I want to start increasing this to 3 or 4 books a month, but right now, 2 should be manageable.

What is one thing you want to accomplish this month?

  1. Don’t go facepalming. You’ve accomplished a lot – especially given the guest’s circumstances. I’m glad you got to rest from the ‘people-ing.’ Very important.
What helps me with the reading goals is setting 30-60 minutes a day for reading (it’s not much but it’s something). I try to do that at the same time every day, which helps the routine.
    Stay golden!

  2. Glad you got to enjoy May – you so deserve it Ari after your last few energy-draining and intense years. Your goals are always ambitious and I need to put reading ahead of other things too. As you know blogging takes up a chunk of time, especially when you have a lot of photos, so when you sort through your photos and pick and choose what to circulate, I suspect you might be putting that reading goal over a month until you get that done. For our long holiday weekend, (finally mostly nice weather), I took a ton of pictures. Then while spending a very hot and humid day sorting thru them, I told myself “because you no longer have to pay for each shot like in the olden days before digital cameras, doesn’t mean you need to go overboard and click-happy!”

    1. lol I know what you mean about being click-happy. I have so many photos on my phone I need to go through because I end up taking 20 of the same butterfly, in the same pose!

Blogging can be time-consuming, especially, as you said, with lots of pictures to go through. Though I do love your blog and all the incredible wildlife shots you get

      1. Thank you for saying that Ari. I am glad I began blogging and getting interested in photography again. Too bad I also come home with 20 of the same picture … I seem to forget that I bemoaned that very thing when I sat for hours sorting through pictures!

Great job with last month’s goals. Hope you have as much success, if not more, with June’s goals.

  4. I get the appeal of rewatching shows on Netflix. It seems to be my security blanket for the moment and I think we can all use some comfort after the past two years! Good luck with the list!
