Author photo of Stella DeeQ01 – When did you decide you wanted to become a writer?

I knew I was a writer since I was 14 years old, as I used to sit in class at school and write poetry and write short stories.
My English teacher told me I was a born to write and that I should continue with this as my career.  I wrote my first love story when I was 19 years old.

Q02 – Are there any authors who inspire you?

No, I inspire myself.

Q03 – What is your dream goal for your writing?

To tell my stories that I have had hidden away in my mind, like a vault, for years and hope to get the attention of the reader and take them on a journey into my world.

Q04 – What is the title (or working title) of your current manuscript and can you tell us a little bit about it?

LIVING AMONG GHOSTS is my first book, a nonfiction paranormal story based on my real life growing up and my current story is fiction, an erotica romance thriller in progress of being edited with no title as of yet.

Q05 – How long have you been working on this manuscript?

Since July of 2017

Q06 – Do you plan your stories or just leap into the writing?

I have had some for years in my mind waiting to be released into a book and while others come to me in the middle of the night, while I am in bed and almost dozzing off to sleep, when I suddenly awaken with a new story to write.

Q07 – Do you have a writing routine?

No not all the time, I write when the mood hits me and when it does I put aside at at least two hours a day to write and finish the story.

Q08 – What is the hardest part of the writing process for you?

Letting it go to the editor because it is my baby.

Q09 – What are your thoughts on Self Publishing vs Traditional Publishing?

I love self-publishing, it gives me more freedom to choose my covers and I have control of my own work.  I could never do traditional publishing as I hate the thought of them taking my writing and giving it to someone to control my work.

Q10 – What is the single best piece of advice you could give to new writers?

Do not let anyone take away your dreams of being a writer.  If you know in your heart that is your true purpose here on earth, then “write” to your heart’s content.

Q11 – Are there any authors you would love to meet in person?

YES, Daniel Brito who is my editor and has wrote his own book.

Q12 – Tells us why you love writing?

Well if you are a writer you should already know this answer, because we are born to write and tell stories, and it is our passion.

Living Among Ghosts

I have, since 1997, wanted to write about this book and decided in 2016 to write and self publish.

It is non-fiction about my life growing up in rural area and my experiences with the “paranormal”…

It is a story that starts from my life growing up in a haunted house and the area I lived in had very strange anomalies and how my life was warped into many dimensions of the unknown and at the end of my mothers life, I found out there really is an after life.

My novel “Living Among Ghosts” can be found on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
