What’s Ko-Fi?

What’s that Ko-Fi button about?

You may have noticed I have a Buy me a Coffee button on my sidebar.

Ko-Fi is a free service that allows creators to receive donations from fans and supporters of our content.

The idea is that you can give support to someone by buying them a “coffee” (a small payment of $3, roughly equal to the price of a coffee).

Think of it as a digital tip jar where you can just throw in a few coins to say “great work, thanks for sharing it with us.”

Why donate?

Donations are a wonderful way of showing support.  We creators rarely earn much (if anything) for what we make and these small donations can really help us to grow our content.

Most creative endeavours are not free to run, so helping us to cover some of the costs  allows creators to continue to produce content and hopefully expand.

Do small donations really help?

Yes!  Any donation, no matter how small is truly appreciated and helpful.  It all adds up.  Donations help creators to do more, maybe even take some risks with their projects and do something bigger.

It lets us know that what we make is valued.

How to donate?

Firstly, if you would like to donate – thank you!  Truly, thank you!

To donate, you would need a Paypal account.  Just click the Buy Me a Coffee button either below or in the sidebar and follow the instructions. 🙂
